Jordan Peele is back with another horror film that is right on par with his 2016 effort Get Out. The director/writer gifted Us with its first trailer starring Black Panther’s Lupita Nyong’o and M’baku, I mean, Winston Duke, on Christmas morning.

The trailer opens with Duke, Nyong’o and their two young children serving up head nodding nostalgia and good times to I Got 5 On It. But instead of ogling over Duke’s fineness, we were left hella creeped out after watching battle it out with evil-ass versions of themselves.

Yep, leave it Peele to add yet another twist to have us squirming in our seats.

Lupita Nyong'o in 'Us'

Peele told The Hollywood Reporter that he “dedicated a lot of myself to create a new horror mythology and a new monster. I think that monsters and stories about monsters are one of our best ways of getting at deeper truths and facing our fears as a society.”

Though centering a Black family at the film’s core, the Oscar-winner revealed the story focuses on those truths.

Us is not about race,” said Peele. “It is instead about something that I feel has become an undeniable truth, and that is the simple fact that we are our own worst enemies.”

Us is set to hit theatres March 22, 2019. Press play to watch the trailer for Us below.
